Home advantage: Gin on the docks

Anyone that has ever visited Cape Town will attest to Capetonian’s love of our city.

Bombay Menu

We literally look for excuses to look at the sea or the mountain, and never to do things by halves; we always make sure we have a drink in hand when doing so. It’s just the Cape Town way.

Hardly surprising then that the world’s best gin (my words, not theirs, but very much true) has partnered with The Table Bay Hotel to create the Bombay Sapphire Gin Bar that, “predictably” has the most incredible view of Table Mountain.

Mixologists

Looked over by a large gold seal called Oscar and mixologist extraordinaire, Heinrich Le Meyer, the bar offers a host of gin-laden cocktails, ranging from good ol’ Bombay and Tonic to the fruity Watermelon Collins for those with a sweeter tooth.

And did I mention that you can sip on your tipple of choice with this view? Yes, the said mountain we love so much. You understand now, don’t you?

Oscar the Seal

The bar is open every afternoon from 3pm until the 13 January 2016.
